While David Bourland Gallery may be a newcomer to the business scene, David Bourland is no stranger to fine arts. He began his framing career in 1968 at Winchesters, a small, local framing company. It was there he developed a keen eye for framing, while learning techniques of restoring artworks of all types.
His 10-year career as a serviceman in the United States Air Force allowed him to travel the world, appreciating the culture and artwork of all walks of life. He later served as Curator to the Illinois Executive Mansion for 38 years, with world-class artwork under his care while assembling a collection that would rival many museums. Throughout his career, he traveled to 66 different countries, but always called Springfield, Illinois home.
In 2017, he opened up David Bourland Gallery. He enjoys a hard day’s work (often times starting before dawn) and is happy to work with you on any project, big or small.
When he’s not working, he enjoys playing catch with his grandson, Carter, or catching up with old friends at the local watering hole.
